The word “feather” may sound simple, but its forms and functions are incredibly diverse.
Feathers create propulsion, control wind, repel rain, and protect the body—all of which play a vital role in survival and are ultimately responsible for soaring high into the sky.
We, too, each carry a different kind of feather. No two are the same. Every individual brings a unique strength and a distinct expression.
Feathers Dance Company was named with this in mind—a place where diverse feathers come together and take flight powerfully and boldly on a shared stage.

Our mission is to connect cultures and people through dance.
We strive to expand the possibilities of contemporary dance while honoring the rhythms, sensibilities, and refined aesthetic values unique to Japan.
Through international performances, we aim to build connections that transcend borders and languages, to share the joy and power of expression with a broader audience, and to contribute to the growth and enrichment of the global dance community.

Set within the sacred and slightly mysterious atmosphere of a church, this performance invites audiences to experience many different sides of Feathers Dance Company.
From energetic and powerful movement to quiet and delicate moments, as well as visually striking works using large-scale materials, each piece brings its own unique world to the evening.
Through movement, relationships, emotion, and the transformation of space, we hope audiences can experience something that can only exist in this moment.
